The workWhat we build

Custom software, platform integrations, an AI customer support agent, messaging program setup for client businesses, and internal tools, with the concrete deliverables each engagement includes.

Luminary Club LLC is a technology studio in Phoenix, Arizona. We build custom software and software integrations across various platform products, and we run one product of our own: an AI customer support agent that answers inquiries over SMS and web chat.

Below is what that looks like as work you can actually buy. Five areas, each with the deliverables a client receives. Most projects combine two or three of them. If the shape of your problem is not listed here, describe it on the contact page and we will tell you honestly whether it is ours to build.

01Custom software builds

Applications written for one business and its real workflow. Intake and booking flows, customer and staff portals, job and order tracking, quoting and estimating tools, membership and scheduling systems. We build on a mainstream stack, in plain patterns, so the next developer who opens the repository can read it without a tour.

What you receive:

  • A deployed application running in your own hosting account, with the source in a repository you own from the first commit
  • A documented database schema with versioned migrations, so future changes are applied the same way twice
  • Staff accounts with role-based permissions and an activity log that records who changed what
  • A runbook covering deploys, environment variables, backups, and how to roll back when something goes wrong at four in the afternoon

02Platform integrations

Most businesses do not need new software so much as they need the software they already pay for to agree on the facts. We connect CRMs, schedulers, payment processors, help desks, e-commerce platforms, e-signature tools, and accounting systems through their published APIs and webhooks. Where a platform has no API worth using, we say so before you spend money finding out.

What you receive:

  • A field-by-field mapping document stating what moves, in which direction, on what trigger, and what happens on a conflict
  • Webhook handlers with signature verification, retry logic, and a holding queue for failed events that you can inspect and re-run
  • A sync status page showing recent runs, what succeeded, and what needs a human
  • Sandbox and production credentials held in your own vendor accounts, never in ours

03AI customer support agent

Our flagship product. It answers inquiries from your patrons over web chat and text message, working from a knowledge base we build out of your own material: hours, services, pricing, policies, booking rules, and the twenty questions you answer every week.

Automated first reply, any hour. The agent is software, so it responds immediately, day or night. A person from your team picks up during your business hours, and the agent escalates cleanly when a conversation needs one. We do not sell it as around-the-clock human coverage, because it is not that.

What you receive:

  • The agent live on your website chat widget and on your business text line
  • A knowledge base your staff can edit without a developer, plus the escalation rules that decide when a person is pulled in
  • Searchable transcripts of every conversation, so you can read what was said and correct what the agent got wrong
  • Business hours, holiday, and after-hours behavior configured to your actual schedule

04Messaging program setup for client businesses

If you want to text your own customers, the program has to be yours. We handle the registration and the build work, and the finished program is registered to your business, under your brand, your EIN, and your phone number. You control it, including every consent record.

To be explicit about the boundary: we never route client messages through the Luminary Club brand or the Luminary Club number. Luminary Club's own text program, described on our SMS program page, goes only to people who opted in with us on our own website. It is entirely separate from anything we build or operate for you.

What you receive:

  • 10DLC brand and campaign registration filed under your business, with the campaign's opt-in flow pointing at a real public form on your own site
  • A public opt-in form carrying the required disclosure language, with an unchecked consent box and a timestamped consent record for every subscriber
  • STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, and HELP keyword handling wired to your number, plus an opt-out list you can export at any time
  • Draft Privacy Policy and Terms language covering the program, written to match what you actually send and handed to your attorney for review

05Internal tools, automation, and reporting

The work that removes a recurring human step. Scheduled jobs, imports and exports, document generation, alerting, and reporting that pulls from more than one system without a monthly copy-paste ritual.

What you receive:

  • Scheduled jobs with logs and failure alerts that reach a named person, not a void
  • An admin console built for the people who run the process daily, in their vocabulary rather than the database's
  • Reports and exports as CSV, PDF, or scheduled email, generated from live data
  • Documentation written for your staff, not for engineers

06How we scope and price

Every engagement starts with a call and a written scope. The scope lists deliverables, assumptions, what is out of scope, and a price. You approve it before work starts, and changes to it get written down rather than absorbed quietly.

  • Fixed-price projects for work with a clear edge, like a defined integration or a first version of an application.
  • Monthly retainers for ongoing product work, changes, and support after launch.
  • Paid discovery when the problem is not yet clear enough to price responsibly. You keep the written findings whether or not you continue with us.

We will decline work we are not right for and tell you what to look for instead. That is cheaper for both of us than finding out in month three.

07What you own when we are done

  • Source code, in a repository under your account, from the first commit rather than the final invoice.
  • Infrastructure and vendor accounts in your name. Hosting, databases, API keys, and any registered phone numbers belong to you.
  • Your data, exportable in a standard format at any time, with no exit fee and no ceremony.
  • Documentation covering how the system runs, how it deploys, and what to do when it breaks.

If you hire a different studio next year, they should be able to pick this up without calling us first. That is the standard we build to.
